Final Collection
“Luck In The Garden”
The Details
The Lila
The Lila set was inspired by the glistening sunshine to evoke that feeling of entering a sunlit garden. I wanted to have roses and florals growing around the piece like they grow towards the light in a garden.
The Abby
The pink garden rose was my inspiration for the Abby. The simplicity of the flower despite the fullness and texture led me to create this monochrome appliquéd look with some added embroidered butterflies for a hint of luck.
The Ryan
The color of the Ryan was inspired by the beautiful wisteria surrounding the Textiles building. After working in the studio for hours, leaving and seeing the beautiful wisteria hanging down always brought a smile to my face
The Morgan
The Morgan is inspired by the darker greens that often get overlooked in the Garden. Using the intricate floral appliqués to bring out the beautiful forest green fabric
The Georgia
The Georgia was inspired by the greenery in the garden. Trailing leaves and stems creating a waterfall down from the flowers and beautiful textured leaves to top it off. Adding a tropical flower to go along with the peridot green fabric.
The Kate
The finale of my collection, The Kate. A glistening gown created in sky blue sequins to pick up the colors of the flowers that surround it. Floating butterflies are scattered around to evoke movement.
Hemlines For Hearts
I created this elegant caped dress, that appears as the shape of a heart from the back, as a part of the Hemline for Hearts competition. The competition was run by The American Heart Association and my look was chosen to compete with the finalists and be in display.
